Our software is a messaging system that reminds and tracks user's habit-building tasks on a daily basis. Users are sent messages every day to help them build positive habits. When marking tasks as completed, users provide us with how much they achieved. We can then offer reports on how to improve by using that data.
QuickHabits is free for the first 15 days regardless of what account type you start with. Here are the prices for our currently-available products:
- Self-Directed - You choose your own tasks: $2/month or $20/year
- Guided - We choose your tasks based on a survey: $4/month or $40/year
- Coach/Mentor - Manage tasks for your clients: $25/month/pack of 5 clients (10% annual discount)
Messaging and tracking are included in all accounts. We will assist those with Coach accounts on how to get the most value and results out of our service.
We create your tasks for many reasons.
- We want to make sure that your task is small enough so that on your absolute worst or busiest day, you can complete it quickly as opposed to not doing it at all.
- A coach chooses your tasks (and how many there are every day) based on how we measure your support system and how motivated you are. There are motivational questions in the beginning survey that helps us figure this out.
- We believe that the key to beating the lack of motivation is to build positive habits. By creating the tasks for you we can be sure that you are given a positive task to add something to your life as opposed to a negative one to take something away. If you have enough good habits, there won't be room for bad ones!
- Our messaging system relies on certain types of data to track your progress and notify you of tasks. The tasks must fit into the system like puzzle pieces in order to work.
The above applies only to accounts that are not self-directed. If you have a self-directed account you have the ability to create and edit your own tasks.
We ask a magic 8-ball toy after giving it a good shake...
Just kidding! There is a lot of expertise that goes into building tasks. Years of research has been done by our staff in the areas of diet, nutrition, physics, finance, business, psychology, and physiology. When we design your tasks, we take all of these factors into consideration to ensure we give you the essential building blocks to great habit-forming success.
The tasks assigned to users depend on a lot of factors. We look at the information provided in the survey after you sign up. We compare your goals data against not only each goal as a group, but also how we determine your motivational level to be. We analyze how you describe your goal descriptions and sort the goals you give us several times against different criteria to build an accurate mental and physical picture.
After applying mathematical, psychological, and statistical methods, we determine how many tasks you can handle per day and which goals should get the most focus. From there we break down each goal into a REALLY SMALL task that any reasonable person cannot fail to do every day and assign it to your profile. Then once we have your task(s) lined up, it is added to the scheduler and you'll start receiving daily reminders.
And just so you know...the task assignment process is NOT automated. A real human actually analyzes your profile (often several times, over and over) and determines the best course of action. There is no magical formula here that is applied. We are all different and the human element is what makes our system so special. Your success is more than just some numbers and data to us. That is why it can take a day or two before you start getting tasks.
Some days we are more motivated to work towards our goals than others. That is why we have hybrid tasks. Not every task will be a hybrid task and not all users will get hybrid tasks. Hybrid tasks are used to give you a choice between a really easy task that you cannot fail to complete and a task that may take a little more time, but will be more meaningful. You can do either the quick task or the expanded task and still be completing your goals. This allows you to improve your habits and gives you the opportunity to do something a little more difficult if you have time and are up to it. But no big deal if you do the quick task every time. Just pick one and do it.
Full Disclosure: we got the idea for Hybrid Tasks from Stephen Guise's Book "Mini Habits: Smaller Habits, Bigger Results" while researching how to build this site. It's a good read and we highly recommend it. Thanks, Stephen!
NOW AVAILBLE as of June 2017!!!This will be coming as soon when we have enough people to test it. We see the potential in allowing coaches (personal, business, financial, fitness, etc.) to create accounts for their clients and create tasks based on what they know about their own customers.
For now, have your clients sign up their own accounts and possibly guide them through the questionaire so we have good information and can at least get them started in the right direction based on your mutually discussed goals. We have built our data structure in such a way that transitioning their account to a sub-account can be done easily in the future so your clients will not have to create new acounts and can build on their existing history within the QuickHabits platform.
This feature NOW AVAILABLE as of June 2017!!!
We do not have (nor plan to have) a downloadable app for any of the mobile platforms on purpose. The reason for this is because there are already reliable apps on all of these devices that users rely on called e-mail and web browsers. Every smartphone already has access to e-mail and a web browser and those apps are already a part of user's daily lives. Our messages must also be a part of their daily lives in order for them to be successful. So we operate old school and use text and links inside e-mails. It is a reliable system that has been around as long as the internet. Also there will never be a need for updates or installations for any customers. The pages that you link to from the e-mails are wicked tiny and should load quickly even on slower mobile connections. No images, fancy text, etc.
And apps/sms text are expensive and time-consuming. Do you really want another app on your phone and deal with push notification settings all over again? Neither do we...so we just integrated with the apps you already use on your phone instead. This has the added benefit of allowing us to keep costs down...which is very awesome for you!
